In 2018, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure, taking the ferry from Lahaina to Lanai. Little did we know that this trip would lead us to pristine beaches, luxury resorts, and even a charming encounter with Lanai’s mini ponies.

Our day began at the Lahaina dock, where we boarded the ferry bound for Lanai. The short ride provided panoramic views of Maui’s coastline, giving us a sense of the island’s natural beauty. As the ferry glided across the azure waters, we felt the anticipation building for the adventures that lay ahead.

Exploring Lanai

Upon arriving on Lanai, we wasted no time in renting a jeep to explore the island. The open-air vehicle allowed us to take in Lanai’s fresh island air and remarkable landscapes. We ventured off the beaten path and found ourselves on a journey to a pristine and nearly vacant beach. The untouched beauty of this secluded spot left us in awe, and we couldn’t resist taking a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters.

Four Seasons

Lanai is home to not one but two Four Seasons properties, each offering a unique and lavish experience. We visited both resorts, reveling in the opulence and the stunning ocean views. Whether it was a leisurely lunch, a spa treatment, or simply strolling through the immaculate grounds, both resorts offered a taste of paradise.

Pony Adventure

One of the unexpected highlights of our day trip was a visit to Lanai’s mini ponies. These adorable creatures captured our hearts with their charm and personality. We spent time petting and feeding them while learning about their history on the island. It was a delightful and heartwarming experience that added a unique touch to our Lanai adventure.
