Introducing a mouthwatering ketovore-friendly meal that will make your taste buds sing with delight: sausage meat over spaghetti squash!
This delectable dish is a favorite among my boys, and its not hard to see why. The savory flavors and lack of carbohydrates makes it the perfect choice for anyone on a ketovore diet or looking for a healthy evening meal.
Whether you’re looking to indulge in a delicious ketovore meal or want to introduce your family to the wonders of spaghetti squash, this sausage meat over spaghetti squash recipe is a winner. It’s a fantastic way to satisfy your cravings while keeping your health goals in mind. So go ahead, grab your fork, and dive into this ketovore delight!
To prepare this delicious meal, start by roasting the spaghetti squash at 425 degrees in the oven for about 35 to 50 minutes. You want to roast until it’s tender and the strands easily separate with a fork. I’ve found that it depends on the size and ripeness of your spaghetti squash. While that cooks, let us get started on the sauce!
Meanwhile begin to cook your favorite sausage meat in a skillet on medium-high. I like to mix flavors and use a pound of spicy italian sausage meat and a pound and a half of sweet sausage. Smash the sausage meat to the bottom of the skillet and cook until it’s browned and cooked through. The combination of juicy, flavorful sausage and delicate texture of spaghetti squash creates a truly harmonious culinary experience.
In addition to the flavors of the sausage, I like to include ground beef seasoned with the juice of the sausage mixture. To do this, I remove the cooked sausage from the pan and replace with the ground beef until cooked through and then mixing in the sausage to create a tasty meat blend!
To continue the unique flavors of this dish we add two types of mushrooms, onions, parsley, and oregano. Joining the spices with the meat blend creates a perfect meat sauce! Mixing everything together leaves us with a nearly perfect sauce. When making normal spaghetti sauce, sugar tends to be a small staple. In order to correct this I use a secret ingredient! I’ve found the LMNT Electrolytes Mango Chili makes the perfect season to add an extra something to the sauce,
Once the squash is ready, use a fork to gently scrape out the strands, resembling spaghetti noodles. Transfer them to a serving dish and top with the cooked meat sauce. The rich aroma of the sausage will mingle with the mild sweetness of the squash, making each bite a satisfying and unforgettable experience.
