What is Facial Acupuncture?

Maybe you’ve heard of acupuncture before. Crazy people sticking needles into their skin for claimed health benefits. But, what really is acupuncture?

Unlike most treatments, facial acupuncture adresses the skin’s overall health. By inserting multiple needles into different areas of the skin, your body begins it’s micro-trauma response. As blood flow increases, your cells begin to regenerate. This provides a youthful glow and reduces some of the effects of aging.

Similar to microneedling, facial acupuncture increases collagen production which helps speed up the healing process.

How Does It Work?

The acupuncture started by using small (0.5 mm) needles. As they were inserted into the designated areas each causes micro-tears in the skin. Facial acupuncture focuses treatment areas that could benefit from a refreshing remodel, such as crows feet.

After treatment the muscle elongates stretching unwanted lines. By employing different depths, microcirculation can be adjusted depending on needs.

What Are Its Benefits?

As listed, there are a variety of benefits from acupuncture. It’s elongating properties improves muscle tone throughout your facial structure. As a grinder, it was particularly helpful to me in removing jaw tension. In addition to appearance, facial acupuncture also improves the volume and texture of your skin. This happens due to the enhancement of bone nutrient support and skin thickness.

Facial Acupuncture can help reduce puffiness and facial swelling. By improving blood circulation, acupuncture helps reduce inflammation. This restorative procedure has captured my attention and I can’t wait to try it again.
